“I have learned to embrace the waves that crash onto the Rock of Ages.”
-Charles Spurgeon

James 1:2-4 (NLT) – “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.”

1 Peter 5:10 says: “But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while (not forever), perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

Long-suffer well. You will be perfected, strengthened and settled, no longer a sojourner, but a resident in a new place of deeper understanding.

Psalm 146:7-9

  • The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous.

  • The Lord watches over the sojourners
