NICK HONERKAMP, lead PASTOR
Since 2004 Nick Honerkamp has been the Lead Pastor at New Covenant Church in Clyde, North Carolina. Blogger, Bible teacher, international speaker, and community leader; Nick is passionate about equipping those in Christ to live out their full calling and identity.
JENNY MURRAY, WORSHIP DIRECTOR
Since 2012 Jenny has been involved at NCC where she served on the worship leadership team under Brian Cagle. In 2016 she became the full time Worship Director. Jenny grew up in Western North Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where she received a B.A. in music, voice. She has worked in the healthcare industry for 12 years all the while serving her local church in worship ministry in her free time. She is a songwriter, also plays guitar and keys, and has a passion for creativity, collaboration and what each member of the NCC worship community can bring to the platform. She values people and the diverse gifts God places in each of us. She is a talented and anointed worship leader and musician with a love for the presence and power of God. Jenny and her husband Travis have 2 beautiful daughters, Betha and Lila.
EMILY NAGLE, NEW COVENANT STUDENTS
Emily is the Student Pastor here at New Covenant Church. She is married to a charming Scotsman, Tobias Nagle. The newlywed Nagles now engage in ministry together, mentoring and discipling the youth and young adults of Haywood County. Emily is a Lee University alumna where she studied Christian Ministries and Music Performance. During her time at Lee University, Emily had the opportunity to share the Gospel across the United States, western Europe, and South America.
Emily is enthusiastic about sharing the love of God with young people and creating Christian community. She desires to see lives filled with the passion of the Lord and people moved by His love to change the world!
CHIP PLEMMONS, PASTOR, OPERATIONS & FACILITIES
Chip and his wife Michelle have been attending New Covenant Church since 2010. He serves as the pastor on duty during office hours while overseeing the day to day operations of New Covenant Church and it’s Chaplains program. Chip is an evangelist with a fiery passion for spreading the Gospel. This passion is displayed in his preaching style and in his heart for those that are broken and lost by showing them there is hope in salvation through Jesus Christ. Chip is actively involved in NCC’s jail ministry and in both the local and foreign mission fields. Chip and Michelle have 4 adult children and 2 grandchildren.
PASTORS HERMAN AND AMY CHERBONY, FAMILY MINISTRIES PASTORS
Pastors Herman and Amy Cherbony are the newest addition to the NCC Staff. Herman originates from Los Angeles, CA and Amy is a military kid who was born in NC, spent her childhood years in the Philippines and her teens years in Texas. Herman received his Bachelor's degree from Vanguard University in CA and Amy received her Bachelor's degree from Central Bible College in MO. They have worked hand in hand in ministry for over twenty years and believe that the Christian life should be the most amazing and exciting life people experience on the Earth. Their dream is to see parents raised up to take their place as the primary disciplers of their children and to see children and youth raised up to do the works of Jesus on the earth today. The Cherbonys are a fun loving family with three wonderful children...Josiah, Elisabeth, and Elijah.
BLAKE & REBECCA STANBERY PASTORAL CARE MINISTRY
Blake and Rebecca Stanbery love caring for the church and their community. They lead the pastoral care ministries at New Covenant and desire to see everyone connected with healthy relationships. Pastor Blake has been a leader in education, business, and ministry in the region. He and Rebecca fell in love at Appalachian State University and have been married over 25 years, raising 3 amazing children who all serve in ministry. Some of their favorite things are camping in the Smokies and exploring trails, anything around food and cooking, having people over to their home, laughing and meeting new people. They love the New Covenant environment of freedom, joy, and honor.
