Encounters
What is an Encounter?:
That's the first question people ask, and yet hard to put into words. It's called, 'Encounter' because it's primary purpose is to bring people to an encounter with God. God's desire is to have a close, intimate relationship with His people. He wants us to know Him well. The Encounter is a 3-day event, starting early Friday evening and going to Sunday evening. During these 3-days, you will be drawn to His presence and His love. You will be revived in the joy of your salvation.

Who will be at the Encounter?:
An Encounter is led by a NCC Pastor. Men and Women have separate Encounter weekends. Groups can consist of around 24 - 36 individuals.
What is the Cost? (Men's Encounter):
The cost is $140 for a participant and $140 for a server, plus the cost of shirts which are: $15 each and 3 for $40. Note: Partial Scholarships are available for Participants only. This fee covers two nights of lodging, six meals, snacks, transportation to and from Ridgecrest, and other amenities. Note: all payments are non-refundable, non-transferable, and are not tax deductible.
What is the Cost? (Women's Encounter):
The cost is $175 for a first-time participant and $125 for a server, plus the cost of shirts which are: $15 each and 3 for $40. (Note: Partial Scholarships are available for Participants only). This fee covers two nights of lodging, six meals, snacks, transportation to and from Ridgecrest, and other amenities. Note: all payments are non-refundable, non-transferable, and are not tax deductible.
What is the Schedule Like?:
All participants meet at NCC on Friday evening at 4:00 p.m., where they receive name and luggage tags, as well as room assignments. Once we arrive at the retreat center, dinner will be served. After dinner, the Encounter starts with sessions on Friday evening, throughout Saturday, and on Sunday until 4:00 p.m. and are back at NCC by 5:00 p.m. We are often asked by participants if they can leave at certain times during the weekend. That defeats the purpose and the approach of the Encounter. It's a journey that begins on Friday and lasts through Sunday, so we ask that all attendees make a commitment to stay for the entire weekend. After we leave the retreat center on Sunday afternoon, we return to NCC for a welcome home celebration reception - which is an exciting, high-energy finale to the Encounter weekend.
